Can a 12 year old read Stephen King
Stephen King’s writing is sick.
There is no appropriate age for reading IT.
You can handle it only if you have read books like this before..
Is the stand worth reading
I recently read The Stand and it is probably one of my favourites books now. The characters and the setting are brilliant. Its definitely a huge undertaking (especially the complete and uncut version), but it’s worth it!
Is Misery appropriate for a 13 year old
It’s a dramatic thriller, with very dark themes. And some VERY disturbing scenes. So, for example, I read Misery when I was about 13–14. … I wouldn’t give it to a 10-year-old; there are SOME things in that book that I would want them not to read.
Can a 12 year old read Carrie
There also is some strong sex including a lot of teen sex, and some non consensual sex. … But overall Carrie is perfect for teens into King’s work, and is a must read for anyone 14+.
Can a 13 year old read the stand
I read The Stand when I was 13, and it became one of my favorite stories ever. That said, it really should be up to individual discretion, as has been said, regarding the maturity of the kid. … I would say “go for it”, unless you REALLY don’t think the kid can handle it.
Does Paul Sheldon die in misery
After he does, she forces him to write a new novel, bringing Misery back to life. … Paul almost dies from the shock and, once he recovers, is cowed and seeks to finish Misery’s Return.
Is misery based on a true story
Stephen King, who wrote the novel “Misery,” which was published in 1987, has never said anything about basing Annie on anyone in particular. … Jones was convicted in 1984, not long before King would have been working on “Misery,” and it was a huge news story at the time.
Is the stand on Amazon Prime
The Stand is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Is The Stand by Stephen King scary
It’s not scary at all, aside from a couple of tense moments. It’s a thriller/supernatural/post-apocalyptic story. I think the novel is more thought-provoking than traditionally scary. There’s some gross moments, and there is plenty of suspense, but I wouldn’t call the novel “scary.”
Is Stephen King’s It appropriate for kids
Edgy coming-of-age story isn’t for young kids. Ambitious King adaptation is more adult drama than history. This Stephen King is way too scary for kids.
Why is misery scary
5 Misery: Psychological, Claustrophobic Horror The horror of Misery is grounded in the psychological. On the one hand, there is the fear and helplessness of Paul Sheldon. The novelist gets increasingly desperate as the movie progresses. On the other hand, there is the manic obsession of Annie Wilkes.
Is the stand hard to read
The Stand isn’t hard to read or complex in any sort of way, so I think it would be a great choice. It’s just very very long, but the story is engrossing and exciting. … It’s not hard to read, but there is just nothing of plot, prose, or theme that pulls you forward at that point.
How old should you be to read The Stand by Stephen King
There is some sexual content in the book, so if they are mature enough to handle sexual content (i.e. they have taken sex ed. etc…) and have a high reading level at 14 or 15 then I’d say it would be okay. As others have said, 16 is probably a good age.
Can kids read The Stand
It’s isn’t best for middle schoolers/children to read this series. If you’re older—say late teens and so forth—then I think you’ll be fine. But I have known some as young as fifteen read this series and have no problems.

Can a 12 year old read The Shining
For very young viewers the scene at the end may be scary as you can see Jack frozen to death. Overall it’s a very good movie, Not the worst thing your child could watch. As a twelve year old I was able to cope with this movie and did not have nightmares after watching it. I would say this is suitable for kids age 12+.
